These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with HSM Adventures Tours and Safaris, based in Livingstone, Zambia. By confirming a reservation, you acknowledge and accept the following terms.

 

1. Reservation Policy

 

At HSM Adventures, we take your booking seriously and begin preparations as soon as a reservation is confirmed. We assign professional guides, mobilize our support team, and prepare logistics—often the day before your activity.

 

To help us maintain this high level of service:
  •  Advance bookings are encouraged to secure your preferred date and time.
  •  Full names and contact details must be provided at the time of booking.
  •  A deposit or full payment may be required, particularly for multi-day tours or high-demand experiences.

 

2. Payment Terms

 

We offer several convenient payment options:
  •  Cash Payments: Accepted in USD, Zambian Kwacha (ZMW), and other major currencies.
  •  Bank Transfers: Available upon request.
  •  Online Payments via:
  •  DPO (Direct Pay Online)
  •  WeTravel
  •  PayPal (subject to a 3–5% surcharge to cover transaction fees)
  •  Full payment is required at least 48 hours prior to your activity, unless otherwise arranged in writing.
  •  Group bookings or multi-activity packages may require a non-refundable deposit to secure availability.

 

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

 

We understand that plans may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  •  Exceptions may be considered in cases of medical emergencies, flight cancellations, or extreme weather.
  •  Rescheduling is allowed subject to availability and approval.

 

4. Activity Changes & Weather Conditions
  •  HSM Adventures reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify an activity due to:
  •  Unsafe weather conditions
  •  Government regulations or park closures
  •  Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control

 

In such cases, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

 

5. Safety & Participation Requirements
  •  Some activities have minimum age, health, or fitness requirements.
  •  Participants must follow all instructions provided by guides.
  •  A signed liability waiver is required before joining activities such as:
  •  White-water rafting
  •  Walking safaris
  •  Cross-border excursions

 

6. Insurance

 

While we are fully insured for General Public Liability by one of the world’s most recognized insurance providers under Lloyd’s Insurance Companies, we strongly recommend that all clients carry comprehensive personal travel insurance that includes:
  •  Coverage for adventure activities
  •  Emergency medical evacuation
  •  Trip cancellations, delays, or interruptions
  •  Loss of personal belongings

 

This ensures full protection and peace of mind during your time with us.

 

7. Cross-Border Travel

 

Some of our tours involve travel into Zimbabwe or Botswana. Please ensure:
  •  You have a valid passport and any necessary visas.
  •  You are aware of border entry requirements and additional costs (not always included in tour price).
  •  We will assist with border logistics but are not responsible for visa denials or border delays.

 

8. Transportation & Transfers
  •  Complimentary pick-up and drop-off is provided from most lodges and hotels in Livingstone.
  •  Transfers to/from Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Kazungula Border (Botswana) can be arranged.
  •  Private transfers are available upon request for an additional fee.

 

9. Photos & Media
  •  Our guides or third-party photographers may capture photos and videos during activities.
  •  These may be used for marketing or social media purposes unless you notify us in advance that you do not wish to be photographed.
  •  Professional activity photos and videos (e.g., rafting) are available for purchase.

 

10. Liability Disclaimer

 

HSM Adventures Tours and Safaris, its owners, staff, and affiliates are not liable for:
  •  Injury, illness, death, or loss arising from any activity
  •  Damage or loss of personal belongings
  •  Cancellations or delays caused by third-party operators, road conditions, weather, or political events

 

Participation is at your own risk. We will always do our best to ensure your safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
